Trauma
Poem from my book "Tears of Blood"
Flashes of violence,
Pressure in the chest,
Large numbers of people.
Claustrophobia settles in.
I become overwhelmed,
Wishing to curl in the corner and hide.
He comes at me.
Then,
My breathing is slowed.
I look around.
I’m sitting alone.
Nearly hit by the pasts’ falling debris
I tremble and cry.
Large numbers of people.
Claustrophobia settles in.
I become overwhelmed,
Wishing to curl in the corner and hide.
He comes at me.
PTSD/C-PTSD is a very hard condition to overcome when not recognizing triggers and/or realizing we have this condition. A lot don’t realize the struggle causing the feel of loneliness and being misunderstood, making it even harder for healing to occur. We can’t live everyday life like other people can due to this condition and it’s important to know you aren’t alone and don’t be ashamed to get help for it. I reflect on my own PTSD and triggers in my book “Tears of Blood” for those that don’t have the knowledge and how I changed my mindset to begin healing without any help. The link for my short book is in my bio.
